Kristina Stallvik (b. 1999 nyc) is an artist, curator, and founder of the publishing project, cover crop. Working within the field of queer ecology, Stallvik is interested in the technological mediation of non-human nature and testing the relationship between curatorial and editorial modes.
Recent presentations have been staged at Between Bridges (Berlin, DE), Magma Maria (Frankfurt, DE), Nylistasafnid/The Living Art Museum (Reykjavik, IS) and Kunsthall Trondheim (Trondheim, NO) among others. Recent talks/workshops have been given at the Transmediale Festival, Geritt Reitveld Academie, Estonian Academie of Arts, and alpha nova galerie futura. Stallvik holds a degree in environmental studies and gender studies from Swarthmore College (2021), including additional study at University of the Arts London - Central Saint Martins (2019) and London College of Communication (2018). Recent publications include Landing (Lumbung Press, documenta 15, 2023). Stallvik’s practice has been supported by the Office for Contemporary Art Norway and the Alexander von Humboldt foundation.
